The hotel is charming and conveniently situated near the train station, just 5 minutes from town. The only drawback was the musty smell inside the room.

Terrible check-in process at any hotel, fully automated. Bring back the manned desk, as the light in the bathroom was not working and the room had a strong bleach smell.

I rate it 5 stars because the staff are truly exceptional. Incredibly kind, helpful, and overall fantastic people. The room was clean, and the recently refurbished reception area looks stunning. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, thanks to the amazing staff. Keep up the great work, and I hope they receive the recognition and raise they deserve.

I have been using Premier Inn for years and always had good stays. Unfortunately, this new unmanned system led to a negative experience. We faced issues such as insufficient toilet paper and difficulty getting assistance in the early hours. While we eventually spoke to the assistant manager, the lack of clear emergency assistance was concerning. I urge Premier Inn to prioritize human assistance over automated systems, especially in emergencies.

Not a bad experience overall. I had to request reception to clean the shower head due to pink residue, which they promptly addressed. There was some noise from the neighboring room and alarms were audible through the walls. Despite that, the location is good, meals are usually nice, and it's a bonus that the TV shows GB news.

The quality seems lower compared to other Premier Inns. Finding a half-eaten apple on the floor left by a previous guest gives the impression that the room was not cleaned adequately before our stay.

It's a shame the restaurant was out of commission, but to be fair, we received complimentary coffee and pastries!

Arriving with bags can be awkward as the hotel lacks parking. Additionally, the restaurant was undergoing refurbishment during my stay.

I stayed overnight for my graduation in Chelmsford. The hotel's proximity to the station, the cathedral, and nearby shops and restaurants is convenient. The staff were extremely helpful, my room was clean, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable, as is usually the case with Premier Inns.

They never answer the phone, no matter how many times I call throughout different days and times. This lack of responsiveness is unacceptable. Additionally, the absence of an email address makes them unreachable from any point. Improvement is needed.
